Now that I’m feeling better, a miscellany

Currently listening to SomaFM: Mission Control. Very soothing and abstract. This morning I hit the snooze so many times that it finally resulted in a portion of a dream in which I was trying to organize some clothes into a wardrobe in my dorm room, while also wondering why the hell its previous occupant had… Continue reading Now that I’m feeling better, a miscellany

A brief message from me and the hattifattener

(pay no mind to Leg, the humbug Uglydoll.) Note: a hattifattener is a strange being that grows from seeds in the ground and are drawn to electrical storms, They are from per Tove Jansson's books about the Moomins. Kelley Bell made this very large hattifattener for me about 13 years ago.

Happy December, almost–

Yay the digital snow is back! I love it, so cheerful and soothing. I've been ill and, sadly, missed the Great Margolis Migration Manifestation up in Barryville over the weekend. Yes, ill with what Kim and I have dubbed the Brooklyn Plague, as it seems to've been making some rounds. Here's how mine has gone,… Continue reading Happy December, almost–

notes to self

I'm well aware this is an odd place to put notes to self, being a public blog– However, as it's something I glance at rather often, I'm going to take this opportunity to put down some goals or ideas– both short- and long-term, I think. Just some things I'd like to keep in mind for… Continue reading notes to self

Elizabeth’s Dagger

No, that's not a misspelling. It's the name of a band (comprised of "three young men who hope to change the world"). Funny thing is, they are from Honeoye Falls, which lies but a few scant miles from where I grew up in upstate New York.
