Some sketches: warm, bright, like summer

Friday evening I rode my bike to Red Hook to surprise a friend at work and have dinner at Hope & Anchor (delicious). A street fair was underway. It was a good excursion. I needed to get outside, having not felt very well all day, and stuck indoors during lovely weather.

I rode back by way of North Slope (took the long way round), and stopped in at one of my usual spots to do some observational sketches.

And finally, the Babadook, who’s been enjoying an accidental rebirth as an LGBQT icon, and popping up a lot now that it’s Pride month— as Saturday was Pride Day in Brooklyn, I did a sassy little portrait of ol’ B 🙂Babadook! Brooklyn Pride sketch
