I was going along at a good clip; working, drawing, writing, painting– had finally sorted out that elusive balance wherein manifold priorities were all being attended! And now I sit, again feeling overwhelmed (and mildly crippled) as the list of work has suddenly expanded; bloomed before the trees have done. Additionally, I've not done a… Continue reading resistance, bargaining

Equinox– nearly
Today began with a brutal sore throat and utter congestion, though it's much better now. First Spring head cold– hopefully the only. But then, I think I didn't have one over the winter, so maybe this is how Winter gets the boot, tomorrow being the Spring Equinox! Above: continued progress on the 24"x8" canvas.

How it will ultimately affect me as a freelancer has yet to be seen; recessions can sometimes actually work in favor of small business, having little… Continue reading dominoes
three day weekend
A Monday has dawned half-sunny in mid February– President's Day Weekend. Tumultuous and mild, abstractions arising out of the long winter– cabin fever reaches its peak, and winter makes madmen of us all. I've been feeling a little at loose ends and wondering again what I'm going to be when I grow up. Springtime has… Continue reading three day weekend
