Some scenes from the snowfall last night. Today is a snow day in New York City– all schools closed, bus service was suspended this morning to allow room for plows (I think service is slowly returning). It’s really not all that deep, particularly compared to the big storm on the 27th, but it is a sticky and stiff snow, and even now (11:00 am), the roads and sidewalks are not particularly clear.
It looked like a wonderland last night, though. We came out of the Beacon after seeing the Decemberists play, and the UWS looked like a picture postcard of New York City under snowfall.
(The photos above are in Brooklyn at the corner of 5th Avenue)
