Saturday night, after a dinner of much Argentinian steak in the East Village, we wended our way to Avenue C and caught some live Bluegrass music at Banjo Jim’s– a rather large and interchanging group of musicians for such a small space, and an enjoyable exercise in gesture drawing for me and my sketchbook. (A fiddler, two mandolin players, a harmonica player, and the girl watching in front of us– click to enlarge.)
Oh, and speaking of Bluegrass-y, country-western style things, the Branded Saloon will be launching in May, here on the Brooklyn side of town.
