I’ve been given a snow day from work on account of this storm (referred to by meteorologists as a Bombogenesis, Bomb Cylone, and Winter Storm Greyson). It has settled in Brooklyn in the form of a persistent and blanketing snowfall out the window all morning, and not a soul around.
It inspired me to make this little animation from my ink drawings back in October. And now I’ll try to get some work done.
The book featuring these and other drawings can be found at Lulu.com.
The music is Autumn in New York, by the Bill Charlap Trio. So good.
Great video – really works with the music and selection of drawings!
Thank you!
I love the video!!! What’s the music? (Of course, I would ask…)
Have you ever illustrated any children’s books?
So glad you are sharing your work with the rest of us!

Oh! The music is Autumn in New York, by the Bill Charlap Trio. I’ll add that to the post.
I’ve only illustrated children’s books that I wrote and made for my nieces and nephews. But I’m interested in it. One of my heroes is Tove Jansson, who wrote and illustrated the Moomin series. Also Edward Gorey, not for children so much 🙂
That is a charming video.
Boston is getting it in the neck, too. Upstate winter is looking pretty mild! 🙂
Thanks, Robert. And yes, since my return, I can’t say I’ve noticed much difference to upstate! Today was bad outdoors but charming from inside- my company had a snow day, so I did this, then did some work from home 🙂
I saw some sad videos of flooding around Boston and P-Town. Climate Change is hella scary.
Just went over and read some things. Nice! It does seem a bit overwhelming with three columns of info, though. May be worth looking at some more simplified themes? Just a thought 🙂
That was very creative and awesome. More please.☺
Thanks so much! I’ll keep making stuff 🙂
Sounds good. Can’t remember if you have checked out my blog. If you have not, please give it a look and let me know what you think.
